Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord on 3D-uusintaversio legendaarisen Wizardry-roolipelisarjan ensimmäisestä pelistä. Se oli ensimmäinen koskaan julkaistu ryhmäpohjainen roolipeli, joka innoitti suoraan Final Fantasyn ja Dragon Questin kaltaisia pelisarjoja.

Digital Eclipsen uusintaversiossa on klassikon vanhaa vetovoimaa, mutta lisäksi monia nykyajan roolipelifanien makuun sopivia parannuksia. Luolastoroolipelaamista deluxe-otteella Luo oma seikkailijaryhmä ja suuntaa hullun yliherra Treborin käskystä labyrinttiin etsimään ilkeän Werdna-velhon varastamaa amulettia.
